Tom

I'm YOB's cofounder and editor, and I also host our two podcasts. I've written a couple books as Thomas Mark Zuniga, including a 2013 memoir in which I first came out. Once upon another universe I anonymously blogged about my faith and sexuality under the Xanga username, twoBeckonings. I'm an INFJ, Enneagram 4w5, and my spirit animal is the buffalo. I love to travel, and my favorite place in the world is the one where coffee and vulnerability meet. When I'm not wandering, I live in Asheville, North Carolina – the Jewel of the Blue Ridge.
The Fetish I Can't Talk About
The Fetish I Can’t Talk About
I have a fetish, and I've had one for about as long as I can remember. I have a "thing" that, in itself, isn't quite sexual in nature. But I fetishize that thing. I idolize it a lot, fantasizing for this thing, turning what was never meant to be sexualized on a dial that was never meant to be dialed.

I Only Watch Soft-Core Pornography
I never sought out pornography; it found me. With technology these days, it was practically inevitable. It all started with soft-core pornography.
The First Guy Who Ever Tried to Kiss Me
The First Guy Who Ever Tried to Kiss Me

Eugene Peterson, Same-Sex Marriage, and Feeling Invisible in the Church
Eugene Peterson, Same-Sex Marriage, and Feeling Invisible in the Church

The First Guy Who Ever Held My Hand
The First Guy Who Ever Held My Hand
He reached for my hand and held it. It was the first time another guy had ever held my hand. His boldness caught me off-guard, and his touch sent energy rushes all over. I'd never felt this before: holding hands with another man. In public, no less.

When the Attractive Cashier is More Than an Attractive Cashier
He's an attractive cashier but he's more than just an attractive cashier. This attractive cashier personifies much of my struggle for the past 20 years.
I'll Never Have a Childhood Best Friend
I’ll Never Have a Childhood Best Friend
It's not just that I never had a childhood best friend; it's that I'll never have a childhood best friend. That era has come and gone, that chapter closed.
